Long time no talk!
As some of you have noticed, I've taken a few days off. No I didn't have the baby, everything is totally fine, nothing to worry about, it's simply just too.damn.hot!
Yesterday it was 32 degrees by 9am....I don't mean to beat a dead horse but THIS HEAT IS KILLING ME! Ugh! It's terrible! I actually found myself seriously considering shaving my head at one point. Seriously.
I'm surviving though, but only by either staying in the sea, a pool or constantly taking cold showers. Today I broke down and turned on the air conditioning for a while which was heavenly but I can't be doing that everyday because it's just way too expensive. But sitting at my computer waiting for photos to upload while finding something interesting to write about.....hasn't been working well.
House hot. Brain slow. Tara want bath in mint chocolate chip ice cream...???
As soon as this heat wave passes I'll get back to writing consistently again. Not much is happening anyway because I wasn't kidding when I said I'm either in the sea, a pool or the shower. And my camera isn't waterproof....totally not compatible with the current lifestyle.
Anyway, just a couple of updates and then I'm off to bed!
First: Papou had his surgery, he's apparently feeling good and they will all be home sometime tomorrow! I was so surprised to hear that they'd be back so soon! They're taking the ferry though, which is a 12 hour overnight ride...not sure how he feels about that but maybe it will be more comfortable for him since he'll be able to lay down in a bed and sleep the whole way home if he wants. So, we're all looking forward to giving him a big hug when he gets home! Well, the boys haven't said that because they're manly men of course and manly men don't talk like that....but I know they're thinking it.
Second: 3D ULTRA SOUND TOMORROW MORNING!!!!! I'm sooo excited! I'll be 30 weeks along and I can't wait to check in on her. Antonis even said he's really excited about it....the manly man broke character for half a minute! They'll give us a print out of all the pictures so I'll be putting up a blog post either tomorrow evening or Saturday morning to show you the ultrasound pictures. No matter how hot it is, I'll put up the ultrasound photos. Promise!
I'll get Antonis to take some new baby bump pictures sometime this week as well.
SO, now that I'm yawning more than I'm typing I'm going to stop here and get myself into bed so I'm up and ready to go bright and early to see baby Eleni in the morning!!!
